  Company History
  Flir Systems Ltd are part of Flir Systems Inc which was founded in 1978 and has offices world wide. In 1998 the company merged with Swedish company Agema Infrared, followed by the acquisition of Inframetrics Inc. In January 2004 they purchased Indigo Systems. The company is a world leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of thermal imaging and camera systems for a wide variety of commercial and government applications including condition monitoring, research and development, manufacturing process control, machine vision, airborne observation and broadcast, search and rescue, federal drug interdiction, surveillance and reconnaissance, navigation safety, border and maritime patrol, environmental monitoring and ground based security. FLR Systems inc. is listed on NASDAQ and in 2003 turned over $310 Million.
