Vision and Control was founded in 1991 in Suhl, Germany, by the owner and CEO Dr. Juergen Geffe. Highlights include: 1994 introduction of telecentry to machine vision; 1995 introduction of the pictor® smart camera and VCWin user interface; 1996 Introduction of the 'Vision Control - components system' and establishment of partners in Europe and world-wide; 1998 First intelligent Mega-Pixel-measurement system in the world; 2000 ISO 9001 certification; 2001 Establishment of the Vision Academy in Weimar and World´s largest telecentric lens - vicotar® inspect - for Machine Vision; 2002 Development of an Application Laboratory for feasibility studies

Vision and Control offers a complete and comprehensive range of rugged, matched components for industrial Machine Vision: vicosys® multi camera systems, pictor® smart cameras pictor® vision sensors: widely used vision systems with wide functionality.
