  Company History
  Vision and Control was founded in 1991 in Suhl, Germany, by the owner and CEO Dr. Juergen Geffe. Highlights include: 1994 introduction of telecentry to machine vision; 1995 introduction of the pictor® smart camera and VCWin user interface; 1996 Introduction of the 'Vision Control - components system' and establishment of partners in Europe and world-wide; 1998 First intelligent Mega-Pixel-measurement system in the world; 2000 ISO 9001 certification; 2001 Establishment of the Vision Academy in Weimar and World´s largest telecentric lens - vicotar® inspect - for Machine Vision; 2002 Development of an Application Laboratory for feasibility studies

Vision and Control offers a complete and comprehensive range of rugged, matched components for industrial Machine Vision: vicosys® multi camera systems, pictor® smart cameras pictor® vision sensors: widely used vision systems with wide functionality. They are able to support bus and Ethernet applications and can be implemented from low cost through to colour capability or megapixel resolution. vicotar® optics: robust, precise optics, including telecentric lenses for precise measurement and wide-field telecentric lenses for inspection. A spectrum of Machine Vision optics from micro to macro - the optimal lens for every application. vicolux® lighting: well protected and packaged, long-lived and ready to use. The advantages of LED lighting: stability, long life and precise colour, Special components: what we cannot solve with the standard Vision Control Components System becomes a challenge for our development engineers.
