Sensing Technology is a new exhibition which will be taking place at the NEC on Sept 28-29 http://www.sensingtechnology.co.uk/ . This is a new sensing technology exhibition Showcasing the very latest sensing and related technologies and innovations for applications in science, commerce and industry.
There will also be seminar/workshop activities.
On Tuesday 28 September, from 11am, UKIVA will be presenting a seminar "Advances in Imaging CMOS sensors. Various members of the UKIVA are contributing material for this presentation which will show the huge variety of sensor capabilities that can be achieved using different architectures of CMOS imaging sensor.
These include sensors from very tiny ones to huge multi-megapixel ones, from very fast to very long exposure, from linear to log/lin and Very High Dynamic Range, from full frame to selected area read-out only (unlike CCDs which must be fully read out even if not processed) and including both area- and Line-scan. At least one member from our academic community will provide information on latest developments that can be expected using this technology.
Members will also participate in a workshop following the presentation, for anyone who is interested to find out more about the technologies included.
