Applications are invited from highly motivated and qualified home, EU or overseas students for tuition fees only full-time scholarships in specific topic areas from Computer Science, Informatics and Mathematics.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to discuss their application with the Director of Studies. (Candidates should apply for only ONE of the research projects listed.) In addition to the scholarship, expert supervision, desk and computing facilities will be provided. You will also be eligible to apply annually to our Conference Fund for attending conference.
The scholarships are available for 3 years, subject to a satisfactory progress review at the end of each year. If you are a non-UK applicant, the English Language Requirements are a minimum score of 620 (250 minimum in computer test) in TOEFL OR IELTS with minimum marks of 6.0 in each section and an overall band of 6.5.

Due to an increase in our workload we are seeking a senior software engineer who enjoys the challenge of working with automated machinery. You should be enthusiastic, demonstrate initiative and be undaunted by complex systems.
Ideally you will need to possess the following skills and experience:-
- A good science, engineering or maths based Degree
- An excellent track record of being able to develop machine oriented programs using Microsoft Visual C++ and C#.
- A thorough understanding of UML and the software life cycle.
- An in depth knowledge of the intricacies of system integration.
- Experience of Robots, Machine Vision and Motion Control would also be an advantage, in particular Kuka, ABB, Cognex and Baldor.

Due to an increase in our workload we are seeking a senior electro-mechanical engineer who enjoys the challenge of working with automated machinery. You should be enthusiastic, demonstrate initiative and be undaunted by complex systems.
Ideally you will need to possess the following skills and experience:-
- A good mechanical engineering Degree
- A proven track record in the development of special purpose machinery.
- In depth design experience of complex Machinery in an electro mechanical capacity.
- Experience to include knowledge of some of the following, design of bespoke mechanisms, use of linear and rotary elements, sizing and configuration of electrical and pneumatic open and closed loop motion systems
- In depth understanding of manufacturing processes
- Thoroughly conversant with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
