The Applied Mathematics and Computing Group (AMAC) is part of the School of Engineering of CranfieldUniversity. Its research activities centre around the application of mathematical and computational techniques to engineering problems. The group also provides postgraduate programmes at both MSc and PhD levels.

Image Processing Research Areas:

  • Visual Surveillance
  • Automotive Sensor Systems
  • 3D capture & modelling
  • Medical Imaging
  • Vibroacoustical Condition Monitoring

Teaching Areas:

The Group runs a taught Masters Course in: Computational and Software Techniques in Engineering
with a specialist option in Digital Signal and Image Processing

The group activities are focussed towards the requirements of industry. It has developed close industrial links both in Britain and Europe.
